Updated to Version 1.4. Freeware by Art Heimsoth Allow attached files to be removed from the mail files to conserve disk file space used by the attached files. All ttached files can optionally be detached and/or removed from the mail item. All detached files can also be be decorded in the xxxx.txt file, where xxxx is the name of this command. Only those attached files that are encoded as Base64, UUE or XXE will be processed. If detached, they will be placed at the location specified in the xxxx.OPT file, where xxxx is the name of this command. This option file also controls what mail accounts and folders will be processed. A list of filenames to be processed can also optionally be specified with the @filename parameter. This file can be created with the /List option and edited as desired prior to inputting to the command as a command line option. |

Julian Thomas's rexx script to append msg to file. Usage is cpymsg outfile infile. Can be called from msgutil or used standalone; purpose is to append a message (omitting some junk from the header) to a file to build a digest or whatever. New demand filter use described in the Read Me. |

What the script does is to actually forward everything from a designated folder (which is best filled up by a filter, to be sure). It does the following (all unattended): 1. Periodically dials the ISP and starts ICE to read mail. When to dial, is configurable. 2. When ICE is done, it copies everything from the designated folder into one file, zips it and then uuencodes it. It then cleans out the folder. 3. Now it invokes the mailto.exe that comes with ICE to forward the uuencoded file to some other email address. The way Julian uses it, is to have the filter that copies all msgs (disposition being to leave, so subsequent filters will process them) in the filter list after the filters for lists whose contents he doesn't want to bother to have forwarded. |
